Wednesday 11th June saw the third annual Sustainability Behind the Lens event – PGGB’s open day for Film & TV professionals to network with sustainable technology suppliers. This year, there were over 200 Production Guild members in attendance and more than 40 exhibiting suppliers.
We have supported the event since its inception, and were pleased to do the same this year by providing event marshals through our Set Ready training programme. The marshals helped the day run smoothly, implementing their training around crowd management, proactivity, and excellent communication. Thank you to marshals Ruby and Miguel, who found some time to vlog some of their experience!
We had our stand of our own at the event, to showcase the work we’re doing on The Generator Project. We were thrilled to speak to so many PG members who are committed to changing filming practices for the better and who are on board with our cleaner-air mission. Luke Wilson, our Project Manager for The Generator Project, reflected that “…it’s great to see all the new technology and the proactiveness from productions to make a change”.
